Much like the quarterback himself, Joe Flacco's Twitter sense of humor is alive and well.

In what is becoming a pattern for the NFL lately, the Ravens quarterback was the victim of a death hoax on Twitter when the account Ravens Nation announced he passed away in a car accident.

"Breaking: Ravens QB Joe Flacco has been killed in a vehicle accident this evening," the account tweeted on Wednesday. "Our hearts are heavy #RIPJoe [heart emoji]."

The account then revealed that it was hacked and Flacco is just fine. The Ravens also took to Twitter to reassure fans of the signal caller's well-being:

As for Flacco, he took the fake death as an opportunity to become the life of Twitter. The quarterback riffed off of "Game of Thrones" character Jon Snow's resurrection (apologies for any spoilers for those not up to date on the show, but if you don't know by now, that's shocking):

Flacco isn't the only big-name NFL personality to be victimized by a death hoax after a hacking. Earlier this month, the NFL's official Twitter account was broken into and announced that commissioner Roger Goodell had passed away, which obviously wasn't true.

"We regret to inform our fans that our commissioner, Roger Goodell, has passed away," The NFL's twitter handle wrote, according to Deadspin. "He was 57. #RIP."

The NFL quickly responded to stop the spreading of the rumor.

Flacco, 31, completed 34.4 percent of his passes for the Ravens last season, throwing for 2,791 yards with 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 10 games.

Baltimore will look for some life this season after finishing 5-11 in 2015 and missing the playoffs for the second time in the last three years.
