Cleveland is ready to rock.
The Cavaliers are set to celebrate the first NBA championship in franchise history with a victory parade on Wednesday. The Cavs became the first team to ever overcome a 3-1 serie deficit to win the NBA Finals.
LeBron James was a huge part of it, leading both teams in every category en route to winning his third title and third NBA Finals MVP. James put up 41 points in both Games 5 and 6 with his team on the brink of elimination and then notched a team-high 27 points in the deciding Game 7.
James addressed his critics with an Instagram post on Tuesday.
"They said u lost a step, wasn't explosive as once was, the best days was in the real view, questioned your drive, your leadership, your commitment," he wrote in the capttion. "You don't have killer instinct, going back home is the worst mistake in your career, he got the coach fired, players traded, won't work between him and Kyrie, Him and Kev won't work, love your teammates to much, there's no way he can deliver a championship in his hometown, etc etc etc.... But guess what THATS NONE OF MY BUSINESS #StriveForGreatness#ThisOneIsForTheLand #PutSomeRespeckOnMyName Hahahaha!!! Yes sir."
Wednesday's parade will begin near the Quicken Loans Arena and march through downtown Cleveland before ending at Mall B, where there will be a rally. The festivities will include floats, special vehicles and the Ohio State Marching Band.
This will mark the first celebration of a major sports championship in Cleveland since the Browns won the NFL title back in 1964.
