With the WWE's second-longest running pay-per-view a few weeks away with the Survivor Series event taking place at TD Garden in Boston on Nov. 24, no matches have been confirmed on WWE television yet, but the backstage rumors have continued to heat up over possible title matches and traditional Survivor Series elimination tag matches and reports indicate that the card has been 80% confirmed.

According to Inside Pulse Wrestling, a highly rumored Randy Orton vs. Big Show match for the WWE Championship is "very likely" to take place after being just a mere rumor last week. Big Show and Orton's pal Triple H have been feuding on WWE programming lately and there was speculation that "the world's largest athlete" may be gearing up to take on Triple H at Survivor Series, but the WWE needs someone to face Orton for the title and Big Show may be the person to do it.

Orton has recently feuded with Daniel Bryan, but after the two fought for the title at three consecutive pay-per-views, the WWE is going in a different storyline direction with both of them. The Big Show will likely face Triple H at the TLC pay-per-view in December as Orton will defend the gold against him at the Survivor Series event.

Elsewhere on the card, there were reports of John Cena taking on Alberto Del Rio in a rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship after Cena defeated him for the gold at the Hell in a Cell event. Cena recently defeated Damien Sandow, who cashed in his Money in the Bank contract unsuccessfully on Monday Night RAW, but it appears as though the WWE isn't ready to launch a program between those two yet as Del Rio is still due a rematch.

While the rematch will likely take place sometime soon, reports from Inside Pulse Wrestling have stated that the WWE may throw Cena into a traditional Survivor Series match instead, against a team that could possibly include Del Rio and Sandow. The details are sketchy, and the decision by WWE to either have a standard match or traditional match for Cena hinges on how his elbow is heading into the buildup for the event.

In other rumored Survivor Series matches, it has been hinted that the Wyatt family will have a match with Daniel Bryan and CM Punk after they attacked them on the most recent episode of Monday Night RAW. The match could involve the Wyatts adding another superstar to take on Punk and Bryan and two other superstars in a traditional match. Reports also indicated that the WWE may just make it a standard tag match between Bryan and Punk and two of the Wyatt family members.

The Shield are expected to be featured prominently on the card, as Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns may be in a four-way tag match or a traditional Survivor Series match, while Dean Ambrose is expected to take on Big E Langston for the United States title. Reigns and Rollins, according to Inside Pulse Wrestling, are set to be involved with the Real Americans, the Usos and the WWE Tag Team Champions in Cody Rhodes and Goldust.

It is expected that it will either be a four-way tag match for the gold or a traditional elimination tag match pitting the Shield with the Real Americans to take on the Rhodes brothers and the Usos.

The report also indicates that there will likely be no more than two traditional matches, though at least three or four are in the rumored stage. The WWE Divas could also be involved in a traditional match, according to the report.

WWE Survivor Series takes place on Nov. 24, and the card will begin to take shape on the upcoming episodes of Monday Night RAW and SmackDown leading up to the event. Until then, the rumors and speculation will continue over the card.
