Russell Wilson and Ciara can't quite leave Future in the past.

Ciara has been at odds with her former rapper fiancé, with whom she has a son, Future Jr., and their rivalry continues to play out in court documents.

The former couple is entrenched in a $15 million legal battle after the rapper accused his previous flame of using her relationship with Wilson for publicity and said she's a bad mother to their son.

The "Dance Like We're Making Love" singer has accused her former fiancé of being jealous of her new relationship in new court documents, according to TheJasmineBrand.com. She also claimed that Future's counter-suit is only happening because he's envious of her personal and professional success.

In the documents, Ciara denied using Wilson and her son for publicity, adding she doesn't need to use anything to gain extra publicity for herself.

The singer was very agitated after Future called her "washed up" in comments she claims only were made as a way for him to trash her due to him being "tormented" by her success and relationship.

Wilson and Ciara have tried their best to move on from Future, getting engaged in March. The Seahawks quarterback joked about marrying someone out of his league when he addressed the University of Wisconsin graduating class over the weekend in his commencement speech.

"I'm also here to share some things I've learned," he joked at the beginning of his talk before referencing his engagement to Ciara, according to E! News. "Things like if you're dating a woman that's way out of your league, ask her to marry you."

The couple has been dating since early 2015 and has developed quite the publicized, A-list celebrity relationship. Wilson also has a great rapport with Ciara's son, much to the chagrin of the tike's father.

Though Wilson and Ciara are looking ahead to their eventual marriage -- which will finally put an end to their vow of celibacy, -- Future remains an issue for them and the singer was apparently even unhappy with how her husband-to-be has handled it in rumored moves that contradict the documents.

"She's equally mad that Russell's not stepping up and publicly defending her," a source told HollywoodLife.com last month. "She's making crazy demands, telling Russell she wants to be on the cover of as many magazines as possible leading up to the wedding so she can show Future she's still A-List."
