Tim Tebow may have some common ground with Nick Jonas, and it all has to do with Olivia Culpo.

Rumors were rampant last fall that the former NFL quarterback was smitten with the 2012 Miss Universe, but the two never became a couple. Tebow was said to be quite taken by Culpo despite never hanging out with her without being in a group.

It was rumored that the former Heisman Trophy winner was Culpo's rebound guy after splitting from Jonas last summer after being with the pop star for two years.

While Tebow has moved on in his search of love, he may be interested in Jonas' upcoming album. The singer admitted the record's theme mostly has to do with his split from the former beauty queen.

"I made a real point to tell stories as honestly as I could," Jonas told OUT Magazine. "It became very clear what it was going to be about, after the breakup. I just dove in headfirst and wrote about all of it. I think it was the most meaningful relationship I've ever been in, and it was the longest."

The album, which is set to drop on June 10, is aptly entitled "Last Year Was Complicated."

It was also complicated keeping up with the rumor weave Tebow and Culpo found themselves in last autumn.

In November, there were multiple reports that the former NFL star and the beauty queen had a romantic spark and were quickly becoming an item with the former quarterback going above and beyond to display his affection.

The speculation was followed up by rumors that Culpo kicked Tebow to the curb due to his religious beliefs keeping them from having sex. Tebow, a devout Christian, has publicly vowed to stay celibate until marriage.

It eventually turned out that Tebow and Culpo weren't officially an item and their romance never made it out of the rumor stage. That doesn't mean he wasn't taken by her even if they didn't become a couple.

Tebow remains single, though he was linked to Nina Dobrev after their sensual "Lip Sync Battle" appearance, while Culpo was recently romantically linked to another football player, Danny Amendola of the Patriots.

Tebow opened up about his personal life earlier this year.

"I'm single, yes," Tebow said in February on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show.' "Obviously [I'm looking for] someone that I'm extremely attracted to, but I think there has to be more there. There has to be depth. Obviously, you have to have similar beliefs, you have to have chemistry [and] character. But there has to be something more than glitz and glamour."
