Johnny Manziel needs to learn that actions speak louder than words.

The embattled former quarterback released a statement acknowledging his issues and vowing to clean up his act. Mere hours later, he was seen out partying at a club until the wee hours of the morning.

Manziel was spotted out at a Los Angeles hotspot on Tuesday night, according to Page Six. The former Heisman Trophy winner was reportedly partying it up and dancing into Wednesday morning.

To his credit, sources say he wasn't seen drinking at the club, but the fact that he continues to put himself in these situations despite the bright spotlight that is burned on him is questionable. He's 23 and has a lot of money, naturally he wants to go out and have fun, but why would he turn up at a club just hours after making his statement?

"I'm hoping to take care of the issues in front of me right now so I can focus on what I have to do if I want to play in 2016," Manziel said in his statement, according to USA Today Sports. "I also continue to be thankful to those who really know me and support me."

It's hard for anyone to take his statement seriously when he goes clubbing on the same day he vowed to change. After all, Manziel checked himself into alcohol rehab prior to last season, yet still couldn't steer clear of the party scene.

After several alcohol-fueled incidents, Manziel was cut by the Browns in March as new head coach Hue Jackson all but alluded to throughout the offseason.

Rather than clean up his act to land another home in the NFL, Manziel has been out at the club seemingly every single night. Most recently, Manziel and his partying pals reportedly caused about $32,000 of damage to a home they rented in Los Angeles.

Manziel was seen "wasted and chain smoking" at Coachella last weekend, which caused his agent to drop him.

His personal life is also in turmoil, as ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley has accused the former Heisman Trophy winner of domestic violence, a case which is set to be heard before a grand jury. Crowley alleged that Manziel hit her so hard in a Jan. 29 incident that she lost hearing in her left ear.

If Manziel wants to be taken seriously, maybe he should lay low for a little while.
