With Erin Andrews' $75 million lawsuit against the Nashville Marriott playing out in the public eye, many people have lashed out against the company.
The sportscaster was the victim of a peephole pervert, who filmed her when she was naked and shared it on the Internet in 2009. Michael David Barrett was able to speak to the hotel operators and locate Andrews' room, eventually landing the one right next to hers.

Andrews is suing the owner of the hotel for his employees giving Barrett the information, which led to the peeping Tom incident. In response to the ongoing lawsuit, online petitions have gone up, urging people to boycott Marriott hotels.
Marriott International has defended itself in a way of fending off the claims.
Michael David Barrett Reveals Creepy Details Behind Peephole Incident
"We would first like to say that Marriott International remains sympathetic to the ordeal that Erin Andrews went through," the company released in a statement via Terez Owens. ... There has been much confusion in the media and public conversations about our responsibility for what happened and our involvement in the trial."
The company then listed facts about the incident, stating that the owner of the hotel isn't affiliated with Marriott. It also said that Marriott has nothing to do with the ongoing lawsuit.
Not everyone has been sympathetic to Andrews, as an ownership representative of the hotel the sportscaster is suing was at a dinner Tuesday where the peephole video was played.

BetaWest senior vice president Neal Peskind denied the claim, but then claimed his friends were playing it and he asked them to stop, according to WSMV.
The fact that the video was played at all -- much less in the presence of a hotel representative -- is hard to believe.
