After cutting Darius Slay from the roster, the Philadelphia Eagles are taking more aggressive actions this offseason. The squad is reportedly willing to engage in "trade talks" for prominent Super Bowl LIX-winning players.

Multiple reports indicate that tight-end Dallas Goedert and defensive end Bryce Huf might be on the trade block. Could this mean that the Eagles want to experiment with its upcoming roster?

Dallas Goedert Could Be Traded Soon

NFL insider Josina Anderson broke the news that the Eagles want at least a fourth-round draft pick for Goedert. However, interested teams might demand a lower-round choice or a salary adjustment in exchange before agreeing.

This corroborates Jordan Schultz's latest post about Goedert and Huff.

Goedert, a key component of Philadelphia's offense for seven seasons, carried an $11.8 million cap hit for the upcoming season. He led the Eagles' postseason receiving corps with 215 yards on 20 targets.

While his production remains valuable, the team appears open to parting ways and possibly targeting a replacement in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Financially, dealing with Goedert after June 1 would create $7.8 million in dead cap space but yield only slightly more than $4 million in savings, Over the Cap reports. A post-June 1 release would have the same cap effect, so a trade is the better choice for the Eagles.

Bryce Huff's Future in Philadelphia in Doubt

The Eagles are also considering offers for Bryce Huff, their star free-agent signing last year. Huff, who signed a big contract after notching 10 sacks with the New York Jets, could not sustain his presence in Philadelphia.

Unfortunately, his underwhelming performance could cost him a lot. He had only 2.5 sacks in his first 10 games before undergoing wrist surgery in November. Though he returned for the second half of the season, he was a healthy scratch in the playoffs and did not play in the Super Bowl.

Huff's existing deal has two additional seasons with $16.75 million in guaranteed pay. If the Eagles decide to release him after June 1, they would have almost $20 million in dead cap but save $12.5 million.

A post-June 1 trade, however, would leave Philadelphia with more than $1 million in overall cap savings.

Defensive Depth Paves the Way for Possible Huff Exit

With important departures up front on defense Josh Sweat in free agency and Brandon Graham unsigned, the Philadelphia Eagles could lose much of their pass-rushing punch. But they seem comfortable with what they have on hand now, including Nolan Smith Jr., Jalyx Hunt, and newly signed Josh Uche on a one-year contract.

Either way, expect to see more roster changes as the NFL Draft comes nearer.
