Tom Brady may be developing a new nickname as "Teflon Tom."
The New England Patriots quarterback who has --- so far --- avoided any punishment from Deflategate, also seems to have either avoided or overcome the ire of actress Jennifer Garner over the last trip he took with her husband. Dare we call it "Nannygate?"
Tom Brady Goes On Vegas Jaunt With Ben Affleck And His Nanny
Garner and perhaps-estranged husband Ben Affleck are in Montana on vacation, not only with their kids, but also with the Brady bunch --- Tom, Gisele and their children, according to the New York Post's Page Six.
Garner and Affleck announced last summer that they were splitting up after 10 years or marriage, just days after Affleck and the family nanny, Christine Ouzounian, left Garner and the kids in the Bahamas to pick up Brady and fly to Las Vegas for a poker tournament.
Trip With Ben Affleck Nanny Could Affect Tom Brady's Relationship With Gisele Bundchen
A photo of Ouzounian sitting in the plane with Brady's four Super Bowl rings on her right hand surface on the internet from that trip.
Apparently, Garner is the forgiving type.
"They had some serious après-ski and shut the bar down. They started drinking bloody marys, then beer and bourbons. They kept the bar open late for them. They all ate nachos, even Gisele," a source told Page Six. They were joined by CBS journalist Sharyn Alfonsi and husband Matt Eby.
"Our source added, 'There were no nannies in sight, but Jen doesn't look like she is harboring any resentment. Jen and Ben weren't lovey-dovey at all, but were super-friendly and happy, relaxed. They were both attentive to their kids and laughing with Tom and Gisele.'"
Another source close to Affleck and Garner said of the couple, "They are not back together - they have just found a new normal where they get along and work together for the sake of the kids." The source also insisted that Affleck is not drinking, "He's getting in shape for 'Batman.'"
Brady and Bundchen reportedly also were involved in their own marital issues, but their relationship seems much improved from those reports over the summer.
On March 3, an appeals court will hear an argument from the NFL hoping to overturn a judge's decision to nullify Brady's four-game suspension for his role in Deflategate, according to ESPN.
