The Chargers appear to be inching closer to a move to Los Angeles, but their practice facility is far from the proposed stadium for the Rams in Inglewood, Calif.
An announcement of a deal between the Chargers and Rams to be co-tenants of a new stadium in L.A. is expected to occur by the end of the week and a relocation from San Diego appears to be inevitable.
Raiders' Move To San Diego Would Be Final Insult To St. Louis
"[A move to L.A.] is what they want to do," a source told the San Diego Union-Tribune. "That's where ... it's headed."
The relocation to Los Angeles also gained some more momentum with news that the Chargers purchased land in Orange County. San Diego Union-Tribune columnist Kevin Acee revealed the land is likely for the team's practice facility and headquarters.
The #Chargers have acquired land in Orange County, and I'm hearing it's for their HQ/practice facility.

Chargers File For Los Angeles Trademarks
The Chargers have been in San Diego for 55 years, but after an owners vote approved of the Rams moving to Los Angeles on Jan. 12, and gave the Chargers a chance to join them, it has been expected the San Diego-based team would follow.
However, the land the Chargers purchased in Orange County is pretty far from their possible new home with the Rams. It is nearly an hour drive between the Orange County facility and where the Rams stadium, which was proposed by team owner Stan Kroenke, would be erected.
A move to Los Angeles would make financial sense for the Chargers, even if there are reports that the team's chairman, Dean Spano, isn't fully on-board with a move.
"There is not a [financial] downside to L.A. [for the Chargers]," a league source told the publication.
Added another: "The deal will be good-to-great for the Chargers -- if and when they choose to relocate,"
That decision should be coming soon.
