Glen "Big Baby" Davis and Kenny Smith don't believe Kobe Bryant will retire at season's end. For Bryant's sake, they better be wrong.

His legacy can't afford to take that hit.

Kobe Bryant Won't Play For Team USA Anymore

"I think it's a 60/40 chance that he comes back," Smith said, per TMZ Sports. "I don't think he'll stay away because his body's going to heal and he's going to still look the same, so I don't think he's going to ... he's going to think about it.

"It definitely will [cross his mind to return] because he's going to look at guys and go, 'Oh, I'm better now and I'm better than them.'"

Kobe Bryant Would Sell His Friends For Another Ring

Davis doubled down on that sentiment, per TMZ.

Many harp back to Michael Jordan's decision to come out of retirement in 2001, but that's the last comparison Bryant needs. Much like Jordan in the twilight of his career, Bryant's efficiency has disintegrated.

He's currently ranked 193rd in Player Efficiency Rating (13.11), per ESPN.

The game said its goodbye to Bryant years ago. NBA teams are starting to follow suit.

There's no need for Bryant to tarnish that with an unwelcomed return next season.
