Marshawn Lynch might have played his last game with the Seahawks Sunday, and after the game it didn’t seem like he cared very much. “Beast Mode,” for several seasons the focal point of Seattle’s offense, had minimal impact in the Seahawks’ 31-24 loss and was spotted clubbing after the game.

Lynch is a grown man who can do as he pleases, but it’s not a great look to be partying just hours after a devastating loss that prevented a third straight trip to the Super Bowl. Fans may not be happy that he isn’t more broken up about the loss, and this could speed up his exit, as could the $11.5 million he's due in 2016.

Lynch Was One Of The Worst Fantasy Buys Of 2015

Lynch missed eight straight games this year before returning for Sunday’s game, and in that time the offense became Russell Wilson’s. He ended the season with 21 touchdowns and one pick in the final six games; some believe the transition began in last year’s Super Bowl when the Seahawks threw the ball from the Patriots’ one-yard line instead of running with Lynch.

His relationship with the team was tense all season. He wasn’t happy to not get the ball on that fateful Super Bowl play, and in the Wild Card round he bizarrely ruled himself out of the game even though head coach Pete Carroll praised his performances in practice and said he expected him on the field.

Seahawks Better Off If Marshawn Lynch Stays Away

Another problem for Lynch and a return to Seattle may be his influence on younger players. It’s hard not to notice a star player who is healthy choosing not to suit up for a playoff game. It’s also a bad look for a rookie – in this case rookie WR Tyler Lockett – to be clubbing with Lynch after a bad loss.

The Seahawks unearthed Thomas Rawls in Lynch’s absence, and also have gotten production from Christine Michael of late, so Lynch isn’t the necessity he once was. If he wants out of Seattle, he’s doing a good job of showing it.
