Anyone who has listened to Rex Ryan knows he likes to talk, and the Bills coach can't help but soak up the spotlight whenever he opens his mouth.

That quirk -- whether deemed good or bad by pundits and fans -- was never more evident than in 2010 when Ryan, the then-Jets coach, was the star of HBO's "Hard Knocks" documentary.

Whether it was f-bomb-laced tirades or emotional speeches that ended with getting a "g-ddamn snack," Ryan loved the limelight the HBO series put him in.

With the Bills coming off of an 8-8 season and missing the playoffs for the 16th straight year, having cameras follow them around during training camp and the preseason may not be the best idea. It is, however, a possibility, according to SI.com.

Rex Ryan Should worry About His Job Instead Of His Son

The Bills are one of seven possible teams to be featured in the documentary, including the Bears, Jaguars, Raiders, Saints, Rams and Chargers. Buffalo should pass on the distraction, especially if Ryan is serious about keeping his job beyond next season.

There were rumors that the Bills could go in a different direction after just one season with Ryan at the helm, but he survived Black Monday and will look to turn things around in Year 2. The glitz and glamour of a reality show, however, could prove to be too much for Ryan to handle heading into next season.

No matter what Ryan does, he makes headlines and appears to revel in it. Ryan made waves when he hired his brother, Rob Ryan, to serve as the assistant coach of the Bills' defense, a unit that ranked 18th in the NFL by giving up 22.4 points per game last season.

"I'm excited to have Rob join our staff, and I think he will be a great asset for our defense," Rex said in a statement via ESPN. "He has a tremendous working knowledge of our schemes, and I look forward to his input."

Rob was fired as defensive coordinator in March by the Saints, and there had previously been a lot of speculation that he'd end up coaching alongside his brother. Two teams that may usurp the Bills for "Hard Knocks" are the Raiders and Chargers as HBO would likely love to chronicle one of the teams if they move to Los Angeles.

It seems Rex just can't help himself when it comes to drawing attention. Bringing in more cameras to film the chaos can only do more harm than good.

Would it be a mistake for the Bills to appear on 'Hard Knocks?'
