Peyton Manning finally may have reached his breaking point.

The Broncos quarterback acknowledged that his 2015 season has been "a drama," the Denver Post reported.

And the normally reserved Manning made a somewhat startling revelation on the eve of the playoffs -- the Broncos don't play until next week -- about what could lie ahead in his football future.

When asked by Denver Post reporter Mark Kizla whether he felt the Broncos' upcoming playoff run feels like his "last rodeo," Manning was not in denial mode.

"I'd be lying," Manning said, "if I said I'm not thinking about that."

The comment is out of character from the future Hall of Fame quarterback, whose focus always has been on the task at hand.

But the grind of the last two seasons -- both on and off the field -- seems to have taken its toll on the 39-year-old quarterback.

A torn right quadriceps muscle ruined Manning's 2014 season, in which the Broncos season came to a premature end with a 24-13 loss to the Colts in the Divisional Round of the AFC playoffs.

This season, Manning has been suffering from a partially torn plantar fascia in his left foot, which may have occurred during the preseason.

Finally, Manning became the subject of an Al Jazeera story linking him to human growth hormone, a charge he vehemently denies.

"There were a lot of firsts, a lot of firsts for me this year. It's weird in your 18th season to have so many firsts. But when you sign up to play, you sign up for everything," Manning told Kizla earlier this week.

"You learn about yourself and how you handle it," he continued. "That's been my theme all year: Just keep being a pro. I've been through a lot of stuff ... but that's what I drew on during this time: Be a pro. Handle it. And keep the faith."
