Kyrie Irving is allegedly slowly coming true to form, but if his games so far are any indication, one would think that he wasn’t on restricted minutes at all.

Though his playing time has been a variable, but mostly extensive, head coach David Blatt may be getting carried away by playing Irving beyond 26 minutes.

Considering Irving is coming off a sensitive knee cap injury, he may want to re-check and hold off on the All-Star guard since the grueling wars have yet to come.

While Irving is still expected to be kept off for certain games down the stretch, his playing time technically does not place him in the famed restricted minutes niche, which has become a common practice for players returning from injury. The 26 minutes average alone thus far is testament to that.

But rather than slow him down, it seems Blatt is more inclined to ramp up the minutes of Irving soon per Basketball Insiders.

"We're at the point where he's back, more or less," Blatt said via Cleveland.com. "We'll still be conscious of his minutes and probably gradually upgrade from where we were, but we won't be limited to 15, 20, 23 minutes anymore like we have been."

Now with that said, could the playing time of Mo Williams and Matthew Delladedova be cut soon?

While the two have filled in magnificently for Irving when he was still recovering, there is a chance that Williams and Delladedova could see their playing time cut soon. But then again it depends.

The flexibility of Williams and Delladedova could see them playing other positions, meaning their playing minutes may not be totally cut. In fact, it shouldn’t be surprising if Irving, Williams and Delladedova would be seen playing all at the same time.

"All three of them. You can play Delly, Mo and Kyrie at the one or the two, so you can always have two of them on the court if need be, if you needed to have it," LeBron James told Cleveland.com.
