Ronda Rousey didn’t end 2015 on a high note, but that doesn’t mean she cannot return with a flourish.

Being on top for quite some time, Rousey seemed perfect. But that is perhaps where the weakness sinks in.

Rousey had been used to roughhousing her opponents until she came to a suspect and quiet opponent in Holly Holm. The former boxer held something back, something that made her different from Rousey’s previous opponents.

And as it turned out, she carried something that Rousey hadn’t fully developed, boxing skills which was something she had wanted to take up next.

Such exposed a weakness in Rousey’s arsenal and is something she needs to address before she climbs back on the Octagon. She can come out firing with all her might but unless she gets the proper (boxing) help, it will sadly turn out to be a useless cause.

"I think she needs someone who will objectively assess her game as an outsider, not someone like Edmond (Tarverdyan), who trained her from the beginning with mitts; she needs someone else, as well. She needs someone who is going to be able to look at the big picture of her overall MMA game, and then rebuild,” says friend and commentator Joe Rogan via the Bloody Elbow.

Summing it all up, Rousey will need all the help she can get. In a manner of speaking, Rousey will need a massive overhaul to rise up back to the ranks as mentioned via MMAFighting.com.

And that includes setting her priorities.

Without question, Rousey seems to have bitten off more than she can chew. While her ability to manage her time was impressive tremendous, the fact is that balancing MMA fighting and appearing on films and TV was simply to hectic even for her to handle.

Of course it doesn’t mean that Rousey has to give up one of the two. But one has to outweigh the other. In this case, it may be the world of acting where Rousey can opt to accept and not the roles given to her.

Once those issues are settled, then Rousey could be on her way back to glory. But as long as she holds out and chooses to stick to her routine, it is unlikely she will be back at the top of the UFC Women’s rankings.
