Today at 2:30 p.m. ET the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (11-2) will face the South Florida Bulls (8-4) in the Miami Beach Bowl, where WKU quarterback Brandon Doughty will conclude his decorated college career. Live stream the game free by clicking this link.

Doughty’s WKU career has been legendary, but the story of this game has been USF coach Willie Taggart, who personally dropped $10,000 in order for 500 students to attend the game. That was a drop in the bucket for Taggart, who was announced Monday to have inked a five-year, $9 million contract to continue coaching the Bulls. Taggart also used to coach the Hilltoppers for three years before joining South Florida. He was 16-20 at WJU, and has gone 14-22 as the coach of the Bulls.

Today’s game will Taggart’s first postseason game, as well as the first time he’s ever gone up against a former team. "I'll tell you that after the game what it feels like," Taggart told reporters. "I've never been in a situation like that before."

Coaches do not play, however, so fans should focus on Doughty when WKU’s offense takes the field. Doughty has thrown 108 touchdown passes in five seasons with the Hilltoppers, amassing 12,394 yards and completing 68.5 percent of his attempts.

Doughty, a pocket passer, will be a big contrast to USF quarterback Quinton Flowers, who is averaging nearly 75 yards per game on the ground and has also thrown for 21 touchdowns.
