He publicly acknowledged 16-year-old Aaron Miller, who has survived brain damage and several operations to play for his high school basketball team, and later gave him his sneakers.

Thursday night, he got up close and personal with PGA golfer Jason Day and his wife, Ellie. James was chasing down a loose ball when he barreled into the fans sitting courtside. The fan who got it the worst was Ellie, whom James ran directly into, and then landed on. He quickly rose and ran back onto the court, while Ellie lay crushed. She was taken out of the arena in a stretcher.
