Survivor pools are fun, and they seem easy, but it’s actually very hard to last longer than a few weeks. For those who have never done a survivor pool, the rules are simple. Each week you pick one team to win outright -- usually, survivor pools do not use spreads. Once you’ve picked that team, they’re unavailable to you for the rest of the season.

These are three picks that will keep you alive.

The Sure Thing: Cardinals over EAGLES

If you’ve made it this far, CONGRATULATIONS! But also, damn you haven’t won yet? Chances are by this time you’ve used the Cardinals, but if not, go for it. Philadelphia’s won the last two weeks in a row, but don’t buy it. They can’t stop No. 1 receivers, and the combination of Larry Fitzgerald and Carson Palmer has been deadly in 2015. Arizona’s defense will be able to smother Sam Bradford and the Eagles’ popgun passing game, while the Cards’ offense should also be able to run wild with David Johnson.

All in all, this is going to be the death knell for the Eagles’ 2015 season, and possibly Chip Kelly as Eagles coach.

The Next Best Thing: REDSKINS over Bills

Now for a team you may not have used. The Bills are tricky to go against, but their playoff dreams are all but gone, while the Redskins have a division title to play for. The Giants are up against the Panthers this weekend, so the crown is there for the taking. The Bills flat out can’t stop the run, which is shocking for a Rex Ryan defense. Washington loves to ground and pound, so Matt Jones and Alfred Morris could be in for a shocking day of production.

If You Want To Get Cute: JAGUARS over Falcons

The wheels have come off in Atlanta, while Blake Bortles has become a fantasy freak. Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns look like the NFL’s top receiving duo these days, and even Jacksonville’s running game has shown life. They are kind of, sort of in the hunt for the AFC South division, while Atlanta limps toward the offseason.

Their only weapon lately has been Julio Jones, so expect the Jags to limit him, and stuff RB Devonta Freeman with their Top 10 run defense.
