With injuries occurring left and right at the most important position in the sport, it could soon once again be Tebow Time in the NFL.

The former Heisman Trophy winner hasn't been in the NFL since getting cut by the Eagles in September, but the Colts and Bengals could soon come calling. Tebow, who has had stops with the Broncos, Jets, Patriots and Eagles, could be just the answer these teams need under center.

Reasons Olivia Culpo, Tim Tebow Relationship Never Materialized

Indianapolis lost Andrew Luck to kidney and shoulder injuries earlier this season, and they aren't sure if he'll be able to return at any point this year, according to ESPN.

Matt Hasselbeck filled in admirably for Luck, but he suffered what was believed to be a rib injury in the team's 51-16 loss to the Jaguars, though he was later seen in a sling to add an element of mystery and severity to the ailment.

Why Everyone Is Still So Obsessed With Tim Tebow

The Colts (6-7) are in a tight race in the AFC South with the Texans (6-7) and Jaguars (5-8), so they may at least consider signing Tebow, who has 35 NFL games under his belt, to help them get into the postseason. Tebow also excelled in his playoff appearance with Denver in 2011.

The Bengals, meanwhile, lost Andy Dalton likely for the season with a thumb injury he sustained when trying to make a tackle after throwing an interception. AJ McCarron saw his first NFL action in place of Dalton, but Cincinnati might want to make a play at a more seasoned quarterback like Tebow.

McCarron threw two touchdown passes, but also had two interceptions as the Bengals (10-3) fell to the Steelers (8-5) on Sunday. With Cincinnati's loss, Pittsburgh is just two games behind it in the AFC North standings.

With Tebow still awaiting his next opportunity in the NFL, it could be Christmas come early for him if either of these teams decide to shore up their status under center.
