For weeks, Seahawks fans needed something to blame for the team's malaise. They used Ciara as that source to empty out their frustrations.

In their minds, the R&B singer's relationship with Russell Wilson was surely to blame for Seattle losing its first two games of the season and four of its first six. With Wilson and Ciara becoming a serious couple over the summer, the magic that the one-time Super Bowl champion seemed to have on the field appeared to be wearing off.

Future Hints At Ciara Stepping Out On Russell Wilson

With Wilson and the Seahawks struggling earlier this year on the field and the signal caller throwing lavish parties for his girlfriend off of it and even vacationing with her in Mexico, something was amiss. As far as fans were concerned, Ciara was to blame for the defending NFC champions' struggles.

But now, much like Green Bay fans who took aim at Aaron Rodgers' girlfriend Olivia Munn for the Packers' struggles, fans are starting to realize it was all hogwash. And some are even doing the right thing and apologizing, albeit in a comical fashion.

Ciara Should Get Some Credit For Russell Wilson's Play

Wilson has gone off in the last three weeks, leading the Seahawks to three straight wins, while completing 76 percent of his passes and throwing for 876 passing yards and 11 touchdowns. The dazzling performances -- which include victories over the 49ers, Steelers and Vikings -- have come at just the right time.

With the wins, which included Wilson torching the Steelers for a career-high five touchdowns on his 27th birthday on Nov. 29, the 7-5 Seahawks own the final wild card spot in the NFC. Fans have started to realize that Wilson's "celebrity" relationship isn't hindering him on the field.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," one fan told ESPN's Kenny Mayne on the rainy streets of Seattle.

Other fans had some entertaining responses, but perhaps none more than the guy who actually said he kicked his wife out of his house and then got his own apartment. Enjoy the madness for yourself below.
