Jets safety Calvin Pryor has had a reputation for bone-crushing hits since his college days, when he was nicknamed “Louisville Slugger.” Pryor is better off doing his talking on the field, however, because recent comments about Giants star Odell Beckham Jr. likely put a bullseye on the backs of his teammates.
The Jets are going to be without CB Darrelle Revis, and may be without his replacement, rookie Marcus Williams as well. It’s safe to say the Jets may need to resort to some clever trickery to slow down ODB, which won’t be easy after Pryor threatened him

“He’s a tremendous football player. You can’t take that away from him. We’ll see how it goes. I’m not out there trying to hurt anybody, but if the play’s there, I’m going to take it. Hopefully, it doesn’t come down to that,” Pryor said ominously to The New York Post.
Pryor demolished Dolphins receiver Rishard Matthews last Sunday, and unapologetically told Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill to “throw a better ball” when Tannehill voiced displeasure with Pryor celebrating the hit. This week’s referees surely won’t forget that either.
Brandon Marshall, Todd Bowles Need To Get On The Same Page For The Giants Game
Throw a better ball next time @ryantannehill1 teammate would've never got injured!!! Sorry if you felt I was classless at the moment. — Calvin Pryor III (@star_island25) November 30, 2015
“It’s just the intentions I play with. You just have to have it in your heart,” Pryor said. “If it’s not in you, you won’t be known for it. That’s just the way I play the game. It’s nothing personal, just me flying around, doing what I do.” The Jets obviously love that about Pryor’s game, but he should wise up about bringing his bad intentions up publicly. Now if he shakes Beckham up, he’s increased the chances of it costing his team 15 yards.
