At 35 years old, one can only wonder how fast (or slow) Tony Romo will be able to come back from his latest injury -- a hairline fracture in his left clavicle.

The Cowboys quarterback suffered the injury on Thanksgiving after he was sacked by the Panthers’ Thomas Davis during the final play of the third quarter.

For the record, the tackle was not even considered a strong one. However, seeing that Romo had already broken his clavicle back in 2010, not to mention putting years of wear and tear on his body. Other injuries Romo has gone through include back surgery in 2013 and 2014, as noted by The New York Daily News. He also missed time earlier this season for a broken collarbone.

The latest setback ended Romo’s season. He is not expected to require surgery for the injury and is expected to be good to go in about eight weeks.

With Romo out, Kellen Moore will be activated and will eventually serve as Matt Cassell’s backup according to NFL.com.

But looking ahead, it could be time for the Cowboys to look at their options at under center. Romo will be turning 36 this April, but despite that, it may be time for Jerry Jones to start skimming younger prospects, starting perhaps at the NFL Draft.

Cal’s Jared Goff and Memphis’ Paxton Lynch are looming to be among the top 10 picks, but to get a chance at them, Jones may have to do something drastic.
