It's not a matter of if Les Miles will step down as head coach of LSU, it's a matter of when. When he does, Chip Kelly would be foolish not to consider replacing him.

Miles -- who's coached LSU since 2005 -- revealed his future at a meeting of the Gridiron Club booster group on Friday. It's not one that will continue past Saturday.

Eagles Still Believe They're Paying The Price For Cutting Tim Tebow

"Thanks for a great 11 years," he said according to multiple members at the meeting, per USA Today. "I'll always be a Tiger. If you go to the bowl game, you won't see me."

We should, however, see one of these three candidates at LSU next season.

Leonard Fournette Ready For NFL Next Season

Chip Kelly

The only thing more consistent than the Eagles losing is the promise that Chip Kelly will remain in Philadelphia next season. Defensive coordinator Bill Davis was the latest to dismiss Kelly's departure.

"Chip isn't going anywhere," Davis said after Thursday's 45-14 loss to the Detroit Lions, per ESPN. "Nope. I promise you that."

At 4-7, the pressure is already mounting on Kelly. Facing the Patriots on Sunday won't help, either. Miles stepping down as LSU head coach on the same day of another embarrassing defeat will only serve as the holy trinity of being linked to another college position.

Lane Kiffin

Lane Kiffin has enjoyed great success as offensive coordinator at Alabama, so much so that people are starting to forget his shambolic tenures at USC, Tennessee and Oakland.

It'd be a match made in heaven.

Kirk Ferentz

Iowa were looking to fire Kirk Ferentz last season, but couldn't afford the $18 million over the next six years, payable in $220,000 monthly installments. He rewarded them with a 12-0 season and a berth in Big Ten Championship.

What better way to drop the mic and give the boosters at Iowa what they wanted a year too late.
