The Heat have been quiet regarding the status of forward Gerald Green, who required hospitalization Wednesday morning after a strange outburst inside a Miami condo.

According to TMZ, Green was behaving strangely in the condo’s lobby and “screaming at the top of his lungs.” Miami Fire and Rescue was called to the scene, and Green eventually needed to be restrained before being transported to the hospital. A Heat teammate was allegedly with him on the scene and traveled in the ambulance with him. Deadspin has reported the teammate was point guard Mario Chalmers.

The Heat released a statement about the incident that read, "This morning we were informed that Gerald Green was admitted into the hospital. Right now our concerns are with Gerald."

Green had experienced a career revival over the past two seasons in Phoenix, where he averaged 14 points and three rebounds before signing a one-year, $1.3 million deal with Miami. The Heat are the ninth team Green has played for since being drafted No. 18 overall by the Celtics in 2005. From 2009 through 2011 Green was out of the NBA, and playing professional ball in Russia.
