The war between Knicks coach Derek Fisher and Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes has been quiet lately, but might be inflamed more by outside parties. Fisher’s ex-wife Candace was out and about with Mae West, a close friend of Barnes, fueling speculation that revenge might be in the air.
The beef began when Barnes drove to his ex Gloria Govan’s house – the distance he drove is in question – and confronted Fisher there. Fisher is now dating Govan, after having divorced from his wife last year. Barnes allegedly attacked Fisher at Govan’s home, but Fisher didn’t press charges.
Fisher’s divorce from his wife was not a pleasant one if media reports are to be believed. Fisher is accused of spitefully trying to keep the couple’s children in New York with him despite all their friends and family living in Los Angeles, where Fisher once starred for the Lakers along with Barnes.
Now, Candace is online hanging with West, who claims to be Barnes’ best friend, with West hashtagging the photos #gogrizzlies. In another photo West typed up the caption “It’s about to be a cold winter,” signaling some kind of mischief.
It's about to be a cold winter please dress warm @mrsladyfish
