UCLA has suspended another player this season with reports that walk-on punter Adam Searl has been suspended indefinitely after being arrested for rape.

Searl was arrested Thursday after a UCLA student filed charges of sexual assault. The victim claims that she was assaulted on Oct. 19, 2014, after meeting Searl.

Based on her recount, she met Searl at an off-campus party in Westwood and would later on be accompanied by Searl to a nearby residence.

She claims to have fallen asleep and when she came to, the suspect was allegedly already sexually assaulting her.

Searl joined UCLA back in 2013 but only saw action starting last season. He played this season as a backup for the Bruins and ended up punting five times in their previous match against Arizona State. When word of his arrest came out, Searl was meted an indefinite suspension.

"Adam (Searl) has been suspended from the team indefinitely while the legal process runs its course. Due to the ongoing police investigation, we are unable to discuss this matter further at this time" UCLA coach Jim Mora said in an official statement.

Searl was booked on three counts for suspicion of rape, but was released when he posted a $300,000 bond. He is set to appear at the Los Angeles Superior Court on Oct. 29.

Searl thus becomes the second player to be suspended by the Bruins. Back on Sept. 1, Ishmael Adams was also arrested for robbery which saw him miss three games.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney eventually decided not to file felony charges on the defensive back. Adams would eventually be reinstated last September 22.
