Update: CM Punk has attempted some damage control by clarifying his tweets, saying he wasn't talking about "fake wrestling" at all. So, now he's apparently above wrestling.

CM Punk may be awaiting the details on his first fight in the Octagon, but he took some jabs at his old company from behind his keyboard in the meantime.

The former WWE Superstar-turned-UFC fighter blasted the WWE on Twitter for its partnership with Susan G. Komen, a breast cancer awareness organization, going as far as to call the outfit a "scam." Vince McMahon's company has partnered up with the initiative every October for the past few years in an effort to raise breast cancer awareness.

The WWE had its talents wearing cancer awareness T-shirts all night on Monday Night RAW in Boston this week and the middle ring rope will be pink for the remainder of October. Punk, who walked out on the WWE in January 2014 and was officially terminated from the company that June, had some harsh words about the partnership.

Punk's never been shy about criticizing his old company. He went on his friend Colt Cabana's podcast in November to blast the WWE while revealing the reasons why he left. His comments led to a lawsuit by WWE doctor Chris Amann, which in turn saw Punk's wife AJ Lee retire from the organization.

After leaving the WWE, Punk signed with UFC last December, but his first fight has been pushed back multiple times. The former WWE Champion, who is training out of Roufusport in Milwaukee, suffered an injury to his shoulder while training and may not be cleared to continue training until Oct. 14.

"He got caught in a scramble, so right now he's taking a little time off," Punk's coach Duke Roufus told ESPN. "He was doing great before that. His progress has been good. He's got a great attitude and he's a hard worker. ...Our biggest thing is we want him to [be] 101 percent before [resuming training]. We don't have a hard date for his fight to force the issue, so making sure he's completely healthy is possible."

Roufus said Punk is about "50 percent" ready for his debut, which is projected to still be six to 10 months away.

Punk has left wrestling in his past, but he still can't help but get a dig in at his old company when the opportunity presents itself.
