Could Julianna Pena be lined up for a possible shot at UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey soon?

Pena recently came out with a unanimous decision victory over Jessica Eye at UFC 192 held at the Toyota Center in Houston and has apparently now set her eyes on possibly Ronda Rousey.

It was the first win by Pena against a top-10 opponent.

"I'm 6-0 in the UFC and so is Ronda Rousey," Pena said via Fox Sports. "Dana White calls her the Mike Tyson of MMA — well I'm Evander Holyfield. I'll be your huckleberry."

It remains to be seen if Pena would be given that chance, seeing that there are other names waiting on the list.

Among them include Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino, who is expected to show off her wares at Invicta FC 14 in November. Miesha Tate is also another name in the mix, though the UFC has reiterated that a third clash is still questionable.

Pena pulled off the win by resorting to a grounding technique to frustrate Eye. Whether the same tactic could work for her against Rousey remains to be seen.

Until that is given due attention, Rousey is focused on her upcoming match this Nov. 15 against Holly Holm for UFC 193, which will be held in the 75,000-seat Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.

Though Rousey remains the heavy favorite of that matchup, Though Holm is equally upbeat about her chances against the undefeated UFC women’s bantamweight champion.

“I want to be the first person, not just female, but male or female to be able to have a title in both boxing and MMA. That’s a ton of drive for me,” Holm recently said at a press conference in Melbourne via Yahoo Sports.
