Timothy Bradley Jr. will face Brandon Rios on November 7 for the WBO Welterweight title at the Thomas & Mack Center located on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas but it seems that the said tiff will be more of a chess match than an action-packed bill.

Bradley, who will see if his performance improves with new trainer Teddy Atlas, faces Rios who is coming off a pretty impressive decimation of Mike Alvarado last January.

Timothy Bradley Rubber Match Could Be Pacman's Return Bout

The long layoff is of course a concern but this early, Bradley knows that Rios is someone that he cannot take for granted.

And despite forecasts that either fighter could come out with a knockout victory, Bradley seems to be reserved on the matter and says that this match will likely go the distance of 12 rounds.

Will It Be Khan Or Matthysse For Pacquiao

“How many guys have I knocked out in my whole career? Twelve guys. There is not going to be a knockout in this fight. It's not going to happen. It's just not going to happen. But guess what? I come to fight. And so does Brandon. I come to fight and he comes to fight, so you look at my last fight -- I came to fight. I always come to fight,” Bradley was quoted as saying via BoxingScene.com.

The forecast is something that could be up for debate but the thing is, Bradley seems to be playing it safe.

Part of it may be because of the sudden change in trainer. After relieving Joel Diaz, it remains to be seen if the change in trainer can indeed provide vast improvement for Desert Storm.

One thing that both fighters have in common is that they both fought and lost to Manny Pacquiao. But the key thing there is that neither were knocked out.

Heading into November 7, Bradley sees it pretty much the same. Of course if the opportunity opens, going for the kill could still happen.

The Bradley vs. Rios bout will be televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing starting at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
