LeBron James knows that he cannot carry the Cavaliers all by his lonesome, and one of the players he expects to help out is Kevin Love.

James tried his best to carry the Cavs on his shoulders when Love, and then Kyrie Irving, fell to injuries, but in the end, the burden was simply too much. Not even a superhuman effort from the King was enough to deny the Warriors the 2014-15 NBA title and now James is laying out the cards for the coming season.

“I just think he’s more comfortable in the situation that he’s in,” James said via ESPN. “He’s got a year under his belt; he knows what he expects out of himself and what his teammates expect out of him. I expect big things from him this year with a year up under his belt.”

Last season, there were tense moments that saw Love straining to gain form as he tried to blend in with James, Irving and the rest of the Cavs. The All-Star forward had been often criticized for his play, a far cry from what he had been used to when he was still with the Timberwolves.

Kevin Love Will Re-Sign For The Max, But Did The Cavs Make A Mistake?

All that led to speculations that Love could jump ship as he found it simply hard to co-exist with other certified stars. But as things turned out, Love may have finally realized that he is no longer the go-to-guy and the fact that there are three of them that need to be on the same page.

His numbers were not bad, but the thing is that they were not his usual numbers. Averaging just 16.4 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists last season didn’t seem bad -- for a normal NBA player.

But the fact that Love is a three-time NBA All Star, the figures were far from the ones he last put up when he was still with the T-Wolves. (26.1 points, 12.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists per outing).

From the looks of it, Love is prepped and ready to live up to the expectations of James and the Cavs this season.

"I think it's a fresh start, a fresh start for everybody here, the coaching staff included. We're going to continue to keep building this thing" says Love in the same interview.
