Florida State didn't move the needle undressing Texas State and South Florida in successive weeks, but will have the opportunity to show a national audience they are still the class of the ACC. The Seminoles visit Boston College for their conference opener on Friday, looking for a repeat of 2014's 20-17 victory.

What They're Saying

Florida St. defensive lineman Giorgio Newberry on what he expects from the opposition (via Orlando Sentinel): "Boston College has always been known for their size, running the ball with a big back. You've just got to get ready, strap it up and just play ball. They bring extra linemen into the game and sometimes they run trick plays. Best man wins."

Boston College head coach Steve Addazio on the potential for Friday's atmosphere (via CBS Boston): "We're talking about playing a top-10 opponent in Florida State here in an ACC matchup, at home on Friday night. The atmosphere will be electric and the stadium will be alive."

Performance To Examine

Dalvin Cook has rushed for 100 yards or more in each of his last five games. A repeat performance on Friday will see the sophomore become the first player to rush for 100 yards or more in six consecutive games since Warrick Dunn.

It's going to be a tough ask. Opponents have rushed for a combined 14 yards against the Eagles this season.
