Bengals defensive back Adam “Pacman” Jones is no stranger to discipline from the league office, and based on his history he’s getting a slap on the wrist for a scary scuffle with Raiders rookie wide receiver Amari Cooper.

Jones can be seen in this video driving Cooper to the turf after a play had ended, using two hands to pin Cooper’s head to the turf.

As Cooper fought back, his helmet came off. That’s when Jones thought it was a good idea to slam Cooper’s head into the helmet with both hands. Officials quickly threw flags on the play, and Raiders teammates rushed to defend the star rookie, who was taken with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2015 Draft.

Somehow, Jones is getting off with just a fine.

Maybe Cooper’s reaction to the near-assault held some sway. After the game he told reporters he didn’t believe Jones’ actions warranted a suspension.

"I don’t think he should be suspended,” Cooper said. “We were just playing physical. I should’ve been playing physical. Honestly, I didn’t even know I hit my head on the helmet.”

Cooper was targeted nine times in the blowout loss, catching five passes for 47 yards. Jones recorded 10 tackles in the game, and also returned two punts for 23 yards.
