Two NFC North rivals collide when the Packers visit the Bears for Week 1 action Sunday afternoon.

Chicago is coming off of a forgettable 2014 where it finished 5-11 for the first time since 2004 and missed the playoffs for the fourth straight season. Green Bay, meanwhile, had yet another successful campaign, winning the NFC North for a fourth consecutive year with a 12-4 mark before faling to the Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game.

Key Storylines

--Aaron Rodgers once again returns to the take the reins to the Packers offense after winning the MVP Award last season. Rodgers will be without one of his main targets in Jordy Nelson, who is out for the season with a torn ACL suffered in the preseason. The Bears will counter with Jay Cutler, who looks to turn the team around after last year's debacle.

--Historically, the NFL's oldest rivalry favors the Bears as Chicago owns a 92-90-6 edge over Green Bay, but the Packers have taken nine of the last 10 meetings between these teams. The Packers also dominated the Bears in both head-to-head meetings last year, including a 55-14 victory at Lambeau Field in November.

--With Nelson gone, Randall Cobb will be a key player to watch in this game for the Packers as he will assume the No. 1 receiving role. Cobb seems more than capable to carry the load for the team, especially with a guy like Rodgers targeting him. Davante Adams will also have a more prolific role this season.

--As for the Bears, Alshon Jeffrey enters a contract year as a very important part of the team. Chicago traded away Brandon Marshall to the Jets last season after a down year for the receiver, thrusting Jeffrey to the forefront of the offense.
