For the second time in 17 months, The Undertaker battled Brock Lesnar and left the match worse for wear.

After falling to "The Beast" in one of the most unbelievable booking decisions in WWE history at WrestleMania XXX to lose his unbeaten streak, "The Deadman" got his revenge on Sunday. The Undertaker defeated Lesnar at SummerSlam in controversial fashion at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, leading to the belief that a rubber match will be needed to settle this rivalry.

WWE Monday Night RAW Preview and Rumors

In the main event at SummerSlam, the timekeeper was booked to ring the bell when it appeared The Undertaker tapped out, even though the referee didn't call for it. Official Charles Robinson re-started the match and before Lesnar was aware, 'Taker locked him in the Hell's Gate, causing him to pass out and the bout was awarded to the Reaper.

The finish has led to a lot of speculation that the two will have a third encounter, either later this year or at WrestleMania 32 at AT&T Stadium in Texas. While a match could happen, The Undertaker appeared to once again be out of it following his latest encounter with the former UFC and WWE Heavyweight Champion.

8 Potential Matches For WWE Night of Champions

Several fans have shared videos on social media that depict The Undertaker collapsing on the entrance stage and crawling to the back after his clash with Lesnar. 'Taker was legitimately injured in his first bout with "The Beast" at WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans in April 2014, which at the time put his career in jeopardy.

While The Undertaker appeared to be hurt, he looked fine at his hotel after the match and there have been no reports of a serious injury being sustained by the "Demon from Death Valley," according to PWInsider. It has been noted that he isn't expected to be on RAW and he at least was "banged up."

Regarding the future of this storyline, Paul Heyman is expected to address the controversial finish to the match on Monday Night RAW this week, which could lead to a rematch down the line. Heyman may have had a hand in the booking for the finish to Sunday's match, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com.

There have been rumors that The Undertaker may eventually feud with Sting at WrestleMania 32, a plan that could be set in motion on Monday night. If that is the case, the WWE may have a third battle between Lesnar and 'Taker at Night of Champions in September, Hell in a Cell in October or the Survivor Series in November.

Though there was initially some doubt involving The Undertaker's health, it seems the WWE may intend to have a third match between "The Deadman" and "The Beast." Following this week's RAW, a clearer picture should be painted.
