Punk took to his official Twitter account to announce his involvement in the Ulti-man 5K during Fight Week for UFC.
The Ulti-man 5K's official twitter account reveals that the event is a race that will be run this Saturday in Las Vegas in an effort to raise funds for Southern Nevada's largest food bank, Three Square.

Punk's involvement in the race comes just after he revealed that he may not make his UFC debut in 2015 as he originally planned.
The former WWE Superstar has been training hard out of Roufusport in Milwaukee, but he said that despite him setting late this year as his goal for his first fight, he may have to push it back to 2016.

UFC president Dana White said Punk "looked phenomenal" in training, but he also revealed that he believes Punk's current timetable would likely place his debut back to early 2016.
"His deal is he can call me, when he's ready to fight he calls me." White told TMZ last week. "And it's on man, I'm thinking early next year."
Punk left the WWE in January 2014 and later claimed it was due to frustration over his creative use and also due to being asked to work hurt on several occasions.
Punk's final night with Vince McMahon's organization proved to be Royal Rumble 2014 and he claimed in an interview with his good friend Colt Cabana that company doctor Chris Amann misdiagnosed him on several occasions, including a concussion he said he suffered during that event.
Dr. Amann swiftly responded with a defamation lawsuit against Punk and Cabana, leading to Punk's real-life wife AJ Lee retiring from the WWE.
Punk also revealed on the podcast that he received his termination papers from the WWE on his wedding day.
The Best in the World announced last December, just less than a year after leaving the WWE, that he had signed a two-year deal with UFC.
While his first fight is still shrouded in mystery, he'll run in the race this Saturday in support of Fight Week.
