Don't rule out the possibility of Matias Vuoso joining Cruz Azul this summer. According to Sergio Bueno, a transfer hasn't been dismissed. The Cruz Azul boss is simply waiting for any advancement in negotiations.
Alan Pulido: 'Talk to Levadiakos, not Tigres UANL'
"Vuoso's transfer is not ruled out, but I do not want to speculate," Bueno said (via Contraparte). "He is a great player, but you have to see if the possibility presents itself."
Vuoso spent the Clausura tournament on loan with Chiapas and his parent club Atlas has no intention of retaining him for next season—this despite his performance at the 2015 Copa America in Chile. In Mexico's 3-3 draw with the host nation, Vuoso proved to be El Tri's most influential player, finishing with a brace and justifying Miguel Herrera's decision to invite him to the the tournament.

"He's had a good year. Unfortunately, his team didn't qualify for the playoffs," Herrera said of Vuoso ahead of the group opener against Bolivia. "His work ethic has been good. He sacrifices and fights. There are players that can push you forward, like Aldo de Nigris, a similar player, but Matias has had to sacrifice more and Aldo had an injury and was a substitute at his club [Chivas Guadalajara]."
"I need sacrifice, fight and Matias will give it to me," he added. "We need to bring rhythm to the game and that is what he has given us."
Should Cruz Azul be able to acquire his services from Atlas, Vuoso is sure to provide La Maquina the same.
