Aaron Hernandez, a former NFL star for the New England Patriots, was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole for killing former associate Odin Lloyd, a former semipro football player. His fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins, played a big role in the high-profile case.

Jenkins' sister Shaneah was dating Lloyd at the time of his death, and authorities accused Shayanna Jenkins of covering up for Hernandez, and disposing of the murder weapon. Police said a .45-caliber Glock was used to shoot Lloyd, but the actual gun was never found.

Shayanna Jenkins faced perjury charges regarding her initial testimony about her actions in the days after Lloyd's killing, but was granted immunity during the trial in exchange for testimony in court. Upon leaving court today with her perjury charges dropped, Jenkins told reporters she was "feeling great," and was excited to continue her life with her and Hernandez's daughter.

Jenkins was seen bawling in the courtroom when Hernandez's guilty verdict was rendered, but now seems to have moved on from her life with the former Patriot. When asked if she and Hernandez were still together she just said, "Ehh."

Meanwhile, Hernandez's legal issues are still plentiful despite his life sentence. He still faces trial in a 2012 double murder in Boston after a nightclub altercation over a spilled drink. While mention of that case was barred from the Odin Lloyd trial, some authorities believe Lloyd was shot in an effort to silence him and his knowledge of the slayings.

He was also indicted for shooting a man named Alexander Bradley in the face in Florida in 2013. Bradley allegedly commented on the double murder to Hernandez, who shot him and left him to die in the street.
