The New York Knicks just suffered through one of the worst seasons in franchise history. The team piled up losses even before they were riddled with injuries, and fans of the team have to be glad that they no longer have to watch such terrible basketball.

If there is a bright side, it is that the team will have a very high pick in the upcoming draft, and they may be able to land another star to pair with Carmelo Anthony. However, Anthony's presence on the roster may present its own problems, according to ESPN. At least one analyst and former player thinks that Melo's poor leadership skills could be hurting the team.

Chauncey Billups won an NBA title with the Detroit Pistons, and he was regarded as one of the best teammates in the league because of his leadership skills. He also played alongside Anthony for multiple seasons, and he says that the high-scoring forward does not have what it takes to be a clubhouse leader.

"He's not that guy," Billups said. "Melo's a good friend of mine, one of the best players I ever played with, but he's not the guy who's going to stand up in the locker room and give this rah-rah speech and get the team to rally. That's not who he is.

"One thing he is, he's going to come to play every single night, he's going to practice every single day. He is who he is, He's not that guy [who leads vocally]. But for who he is, he's great. You've got to find another guy to make speeches, and another guy to do most of the leading. [Carmelo's] going to most of the time lead by example. He's not going to be vocal, he's not going to rock the boat."

Based on the way things went this season, the Knicks could use a guy who will "rock the boat." Hopefully they can find one this offseason.
