The third day of the 2015 Zurich Classic came to a close on Saturday, with Erik Compton and Jason Day taking a share of the lead.
Blayne Barber, David Hearn, Justin Rose and Jerry Kelly are all one stroke back, though play was suspended before the conclusion of the third round. Below is recap of the third day's events (via PGA Tour).
What They're Saying
PGA Tour vice president of rules and competitions Slugger White: "54 holes is not in the mix,. We would be here Monday if we have [lengthy] delays.''
Keegan Bradley: "I train with my trainer all year long for this type of stuff, so going right into match play Wednesday doesn't scare me. Now, having to play here on Monday would be a little difficult just to prepare for the tournament, but I think we've got good weather tomorrow, so I don't see that happening.''
Jason Day: "My main focus is just winning this week. If I go into the WGC without a practice round, that's fine. As long as I come away with a win [here], that's all I'm worried about right now.''
Rain Delays
In an attempt to expedite play, the remaining field will not be re-paired at the conclusion of the third round. The possibility of the tournament being shortened to 54 holes has been readily dismissed and could see it extend to Monday if need be.
