Tonight at 7 p.m. ET, the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens face-off for Game 5 of their Eastern Conference Round 1 best-of-seven Stanley Cup playoff series live from the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Ottawa looks to avoid elimination for the second straight game and to send the series back to the Canadian Tire Center while Montreal hopes a return to home ice will help it knock off its opponents and advance to Round 2.

The Canadiens took the first three games of this series, but the Senators were able to stave off a sweep and force a Game 5 by winning Game 4 1-0 at home. Each game of this series has been decided by one goal and Montreal has topped Ottawa twice in overtime.

The Senators realize there's still an uphill battle, and that they won't have the crowd support behind them like they did in Game 3 and then in their lone win of the series in Game 4.

"We know what kind of energy's in that building," goalie Craig Anderson said per NHL.com. "We know what the fans are like. We know the atmosphere is going to be what it is. We've been there, we've experienced it, so there is a preparation as far as a home versus away games. There's definitely going to be a little bit of a difference, but hopefully we've had enough experience where we can manage that and prepare for it."

Anderson took over in Game 3 after rookie Andrew Hammond dropped a pair of one-goal games in Montreal to open up the series. Anderson has stopped 75 of the 77 shots he's faced in this series.

The Canadiens counter with Vezina Trophy favorite and potential Hart Trophy candidate Carey Price in the blue paint and he has yielded seven goals on 130 shots this series.

Montreal hopes that the series won't go any further after it failed to end it in four games last time out.

Rookie Mike Hoffman scored his first career playoff goal to lift the Senators on Wednesday in what was the lone tally of the game.

Fellow rookie Mark Stone has three assists in this set while Clarke MacArthur has a team-best two tallies.

With goals at a premium in this series, Dale Weise has had two huge goals while P.K. Subban, Torrey Mitchell, and Brian Flynn have each lit the lamp once and added two helpers for a club-leading three points.

The Senators look to stay alive while the Canadiens try to advance to the second round when the puck drops on Game 5 live from the Bell Centre in Montreal as part of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
