Tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET, the Winnipeg Jets (43-26-13, 99 points) and Anaheim Ducks (51-24-7, 109 points) face-off in Game 1 of their Round 1 Stanley Cup playoff series live from the Honda Center in Anaheim.

The Jets bring playoff hockey back to Winnipeg for the first time since 1995-96 when the original Jets team lost in the quarterfinals before moving to Arizona and becoming the Coyotes. The last time this version of the Jets made the postseason, they were swept out of the first round as the Atlanta Thrashers.

The Ducks, meanwhile, won the Pacific Division for the third straight year and finished tied for the most amount of points in the Western Conference. Anaheim has had some rough history with home-ice, losing two decisive Game 7s in their home building over the last two springs.

The Ducks dropped the Jets in each of their three head-to-head meetings in the regular season, but two of the games went to a shootout.

The Jets have had a great season and will hope to overcome the top seed in the Western Conference to advance to the next round in their first playoff appearance since their move to Winnipeg in 2011.

Andrew Ladd, Bryan Little and Blake Wheeler paced Winnipeg offensively as Ladd had a career-high 62 points, Wheeler notched 61 and Little put up 52.

The Ducks once again were powered by their top two players in captain Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, Getzlaf led the team with 75 points and 45 assists in the regular season while Perry had a club-best 33 goals.

In between the pipes, Anaheim is set to turn to Frederik Andersen and he played to a 35-12-5 record this season with a 2.38 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage.

Winnipeg is set to counter with Ondrej Pavelec in the crease and he went 22-16-8 this season with a 2.28 GAA and a .920 save percentage.
