We’re entering the final stretch of this week’s multi-day test series between England and the West Indies in North Sound, Antigua.

Day three was supposed to be the hometown Windies’ opportunity to string together a few good innings and erase the distance between themselves and the Englanders. However, they largely fizzled.

By the end of the third day’s action England still remained nearly 100 runs the better, at 399 to 295, and the English now have a chance to pour more runs on.

All-in-all the test has been the complete opposite of the two teams we came to expect in last month’s World Cup. Over in Australia/NZ it was the West Indies that advanced to the knockout round while England only managed four points total in group play. What a bounce-back performance they’ve had.
