The Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning seem to be getting more and more on the same page about the Hall of Famer's 2015 season. Namely, it now appears all but certain that Manning will play for the Broncos, and the two sides are working out how to arrange everything the set the team up for success.

According to Sports Illustrated, the idea of restructuring Manning's contract - which is something that pundits have been clamoring for since it first seemed like Manning wanted to return - is now being discussed in earnest.

Manning is due to make $19 million in each of the next two seasons after making $20 million in each of the previous two. No official announcement has been made about Manning's return yet, although that could be because the sides are discussing contract terms and awaiting the results of Manning's yearly physical.

Dallas Unwise To Invest In DeMarco Murray?

During last week's NFL scouting combine, the Broncos did not interview a single quarterback prospect, which makes it seem even more likely that a Manning return is all but a done deal. Head coach Gary Kubiak, despite some initial concerns over whether Manning could fit within the offense, definitely wants the star quarterback under center next year.

"No doubt I want him to be (our quarterback). I feel good about where we are right now. It's just time," said Kubiak.

Manning initially sounded like he may retire, but he has since started working out and stated his desire to play at least one more season. Although he has more than enough leverage to fight against a pay cut, Manning is likely only playing for the championship, having already made nearly a quarter-billion dollars in salary alone during his career. Reducing his salary would allow Denver to retain many more of the talented players that will be critical to the team's Super Bowl chances.
