Kendrick Perkins Tweet Update: Oklahoma City Thunder Center Sells Dog on Twitter in Less Than an Hour

Back in February, Oklahoma City Thunder basketball player Kendrick Perkins ripped Miami Heat superstar LeBron James for tweeting about Perkins geting "posterized" on a dunk by Los Angeles Clipper Blake Griffin. On Tuesday night, Perkins found out that Twitter has useful purposes as well.

Perkins took to the social media device on Tuesday to alert the world that he needed to sell his English bulldog, Deadspin.com reported. He sold the dog in less than an hour.

Perkins was angry after James tweeted about his excitement over watching video replays of Griffin dunking on Perkins during a regular-season game, according to multiple media reports..

Perkins made Twitter his friend in his desire to find the dog a new owner, saying the following on his Twitter account:

"Hey I have a English bulldog and he to big to be around my youngest child he 10 months got his papers and he got a micro chip."

Perkins sent another tweet a minute later with an asking price of $1,500 or best offer, saying he paid $3,000 for the dog. He added later that he that the pet "needs to be gone by tomorrow."

The Thunder center received his share of razzing and criticism for his unusual sales outlet.

One tweeter, Nick Scibelli, wrote: "@KendrickPerkins perk this isn't the way to get rid of a dog(.)"

Pete Griffin wrote back, "@KendrickPerkins you wouldn't sell ur dog to a Memphis grizzlies fan now would u?"

Mike George added, "@KendrickPerkins I'm sure @MikeVick would give him a good home.."

Perkins then tweeted a picture of the dog, which then brought about more criticism because of the dog's collar.

A response came from Mary, whose Twitter ID is Mary ‏@marysjudgingyou that said, "Can someone in OKC please go give this dog a home without a choke chain?"

Despite the criticism and the smart-aleck remarks, it appears that Perkins was successful in finding a new home for the dog.

Less than 45 minutes after his first tweet, Perkins informed his followers, "They dog sold yall."

Still, Perkins received unsolicited advice.

"@KendrickPerkins Kendrick please make sure you are giving him to a good home!!!!" tweeted A.D (@Ally Dee).
