NBA players often find their way into one of two career paths after their playing days are over. Some take studio jobs and work covering the sport they know and love, but others choose to go into coaching so that they can impart their knowledge of the game to future generations.

If There's No Dez Bryant Video, Why Has Dallas Not Offered Him A Contract?

Metta World Peace (formerly known as Ron Artest) has opted for the latter option, coaching high school basketball at Palisades Charter High School in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, that has led MWP to one undeniable conclusion: that girls are smarter than boys.

World Peace coaches both boys and girls basketball at Palisades. He is an assistant coach for both squads, and he says that after working with both genders, he can say for sure that the girls are smarter than the boys.

Kobe Refutes Retirement Rumors

Of course, since he coaches high schoolers, it could just be the fact that girls generally mature at a younger age than boys do, but it is also certainly possible that the young ladies he coaches are in fact more adept at picking up on the skills that MWP tries to pass along.

World Peace was an NBA All Star during his playing days. He looked like a budding superstar, but his career never really recovered from his involvement in the "Malice at the Palace" brawl when he charged into the stands. Still, he spent over a decade playing in the NBA, and he undoubtedly has plenty of basketball knowledge to pass along.

In a few years, maybe somebody will check back and see how many girls and boys coached by MWP end up playing beyond high school. Then he can say for sure that he was right about the girls.
