Washington Wizards point guard John Wall is brutually honest about why he's currently single.

John Wall Dedicates Win To Dead Friend

Wall is having a break-out season in Washington, D.C. this year, averaging over 17 points and 10 assists per game. Being a 24-year-old NBA star living in a major U.S. city brings a lot of attention and temptation, and Wall quite frankly wants to enjoy it for the time being.

Speaking with Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg recently, Wall didn't mince words when asked why he hasn't locked down a steady girlfriend.

Hottest WAGS of the NBA

“The lady life is great for John Wall, man,” Wall said, per Uproxx. “I’m single. … I see it as, I’m young. I feel like if I came into the game with a girl I was in love with, it’s different. There’s been a couple ladies I liked, wanted to date. But I know I wouldn’t be faithful right now.

"I’ll be honest, though, I’ll be honest. I’d rather be friends and stay that way than go with a girl, lose a friend and never talk to her again. I’m not ready to be faithful, so I’ll be honest with a woman, and I don’t want to break nobody’s heart.”

It may not be what women want to hear, but credit to Wall for knowing how it is and at least being honest about it.

Wall's entire interview with Hot 97 is worth the listen. You can watch it below.
