Richard Sherman makes one of the hardest jobs in the NFL look borderline effortless, but he's just embarking on the most daunting task of his life: fatherhood.
3 Reasons Richard Sherman Will Be A Great Dad
Sherman's girlfriend Ashley Moss gave birth to a baby boy, Rayden, just days after the Seahawks' Super Bowl XLIX loss to the New England Patriots. Losing the championship no doubt stung, but becoming a new father is quite the consolation prize for Sherman.
The Seahawks cornerback recently opened up about the experience of being a father for the first time.
“As you can see, I haven’t gotten much sleep,” Sherman said, via the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. “But, it’s been a fun ride, man. He’s a good kid. At this point, he’ll just sleep, eat, look at you, poop and then repeat."
Richard Sherman Could NOT Believe Pete Carroll's Play-Calling
“It’s been a journey, though, so far. It’s been an adjustment," he continued. "He has, obviously, different hours of sleep than us and I’m working on adjusting that — adjusting his hours more than mine. But the whole family’s been here to support.
“It’s always fun when you get a new member of the family. It’s exciting, it’s invigorating to everyone — I think everybody kind of feeds off a new member. And we’re grateful that he’s healthy and wishing nothing but the best for him, and we’ll see how it goes.”
Rayden is doing fantastic by the way. Thank you everyone for the well wishes. I am made for this parenting thing. It's a blessing
