It was a big point that apparently deserved a bigger response.

Andrea Petkovic, the No. 9 seed at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship, lost her second-round match to unseeded Zarina Dayas 7-5, 6-3 on Tuesday, but the officiating and Petkovic's temper also played a part in the upset.

Petkvokic, trailing 6-5 in the first set, fought the ensuing game to deuce on Dayas' serve in the next game. After a 15-shot rally, Petkovic let a Dayas shot sail long, only to have the lines judge call it in and the umpire not overturning the call, according to tennis.com.

Petrovic, who just entered the women's top-10 rankings at No. 10 after winning a tournament in Antwerp, Belgium over the weekend, lost her composure after the call. She got down on her knees after showing the chair umpire how far out the ball was.

On Dayas' ensuing serve, Petkovic hit the return into the net, and Dayas won the first set, 7-5. In disgust, Petkovic flung her racket, and multiple reports said it was in the direction of the lines judge that made the incorrect no-call.

Petkovic was fortunate that the racket did to get close to the line judge.

According to USA TODAY Sports' For the Win, Petkovic never regained her composure, losing the next set 6-3 to bow out of the tournament early.

Ironically, Petkovic was coming off a feel-good story from just days earlier when she won the Antwerp Open. Her opponent, Carla Suarez Navarro, withdrew from the final because of a neck injury. But instead of telling the audience to leave, Tournament director Kim Clijsters appeared and played Petrovic to give the fans some tennis to cheer.

Petkovic won the exhibition set 5-3 in front of a grateful audience.
