Every year, the NFL Combine is the biggest offseason scouting event for almost every team and executive in the NFL. Players that hope to get drafted basically start preparing for the combine the moment their season ends in order to be at their best to impress all of the scouts and general managers.

In recent years, there has been an increasing amount of debate about how valuable the Combine actually is, as more and more often it seems like the players that have game tape supporting their abilities turn out to be better NFL players than the "workout warriors" that show up and dominate the drills while wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

Still, many people that are responsible for making draft picks put a lot of stock in the Combine, so players are more or less forced to treat it like a one-time audition rather than a small part of what should be a long and in-depth process.

For that reason, players will turn to anyone that they think can help them perform better. Two of this year's most prominent quarterback prospects are turning to a former NFL coach for their edge.

Bryce Petty and Jameis Winston have spent a few days working with new University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh to help themselves prepare. Harbaugh played quarterback in the NFL for years, and he has developed a reputation as a guy that can improve quarterbacks.

The two also wanted to get their bodies used to the area and the time zone so that they have as little disruption as possible at the combine. They also have another trick up their sleeve.

We will see if the added preparation pays off.
